The Department of English has the same year of inception as the MVP Samaj’s Arts and Commerce College Makhamalabad, 2008. The Department offers degree program at under graduate level i.e. BA (English) and follows the curriculum offered by affiliating University. The Department is functioning from Annex I building of the college. The Department English trains students in English language skills and provides students with in-depth knowledge in the field of English literature.  The department  provides intensive mentoring to students both in and beyond the classroom in  variety of forums. Soft Skills Development Programme, Ongoing Lectures, Literary Association, Wall Paper Preparation, Seminar, Workshops and Field Trips are the major activities through that department grooms the students for career.

Objective:

To develop student’s sensibility for the English language and literature.

To introduce students to the tools of literary scholarship.

To strengthen students ability to analyse all forms of literary expression.

To improve communication skills of the students.
