Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj’s Arts, and Commerce College, Makhamalabad was established in July 2008 and is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.\u00a0 It is Located at Makhamalabad.\u00a0Makhamalabad is village near Nashik city. It is a part of Nashik municipal corporation.It is an agricultural village. It is popular for crops like grapes, onions,roses.The college has been providing higher education to the socially and economically weaker students from rural area of the Nashik taluka. The College offers degree programs in five courses related to Arts and Commerce.Along with regular teaching the college conducts coaching for skills developments,competitive examinations and yoga.\u00a0<\/p>

The College is housed in two sprawling buildings right in the heart of Makhamalabad at MVP Educational Campus.\u00a0The college building has all the necessary physical and modern educational facilities. Well ventilated classrooms, spacious playground, gymnasium,computerized library and reading hall, well equipped computer laboratory, seminar hall, Psychology laboratory, Wi-Fi internet connectivity are some of the facilities available on the college campus.<\/p>

The college has well qualified and efficient teaching staff. The teachers regularly contribute to social and cultural activities along with their teaching work.\u00a0Many of them are working\u00a0 on various academic bodies of the college and some of the faculty members are also working in the university level committees. Teachers of this college have published research papers in various reputed journals.\u00a0Our teachers contribute in distant learning through Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University Study Centre.\u00a0 The college consistently organized workshops, seminars training programmes etc.\u00a0 for the motivation of the teachers and students.\u00a0 Many of the faculty members are actively engaged in research.\u00a0<\/p>

The college has registered Alumni Association through which alumni of the college actively involved in the college development. Not only the alumni, but the villagers also whole hearted participated in the various programmes of the college. They are always the source of the motivation and helping hands in any problematic situation.<\/p>

The National Service Scheme Unit has taken great initiatives in the water conservation, environmental awareness and people education about pollution. The efforts of the NSS Unit of the college are highly appreciated and affiliating university rewarded the college with BEST COLLEGE FOR NSS in the year 2018-19.<\/p>
